Since joining ScienceSoft in 2006, Alex has worked across the entire delivery lifecycle, from software design and development to project and delivery management. This background gives him a 360° perspective on how to translate business goals into robust, scalable, and cost-efficient IT systems.

During the past two decades at ScienceSoft, Alex has led mission-critical projects across industries — from building railway incident management software to launching web and mobile trade marketing apps for an FMCG company with 82K employees. Along the way, Alex has transformed the way ScienceSoft functions: he strengthened our Agile delivery practices, nurtured a team of proactive, collaborative enterprise software developers, and spurred the adoption of the “You build it, you run it” culture.

Today, Alex heads the Architecture and Solutions CoE — the cornerstone of ScienceSoft’s ability to solve complex IT challenges for our clients. Leveraging his diverse experience in software engineering and delivery, he brings a practical, outcome-driven mindset to defining and guiding architecture decisions. Under Alex’s direction, the CoE promotes solutions that are scalable, resilient, cost-efficient, and high-performing, avoiding the shiny object syndrome and focusing on sustainable innovation that supports long-term success. The Architecture and Solutions CoE also ensures that every project starts on solid technical ground — derisking complex decisions early and creating the conditions for delivery that is both predictable and adaptable.

Alex works closely with ScienceSoft’s engineering teams, PMO, and Technology and Competence CoE to ensure tight alignment between architecture, development, and the broader project execution process. He also oversees the technical direction of high-impact initiatives, guides early solution design during pre-sales, and ensures architectural clarity and transparency in client communications.

In technology architecture and solutions, the hardest part isn’t building it — it’s making it fit the business, not the other way around.
