Andrei Mikhailau

Andrei started his career in IT as a QA engineer in the 1990s. He joined ScienceSoft in 2006 as Test Team Lead and, a year later, moved up to the Software Testing Director position. In this role, Andrei consolidated ScienceSoft’s isolated testing teams into a full-scale software testing department, established standardized testing and QA practices, and expanded ScienceSoft’s service portfolio with test automation and UX testing services.

During his career, Andrei has fostered continuous learning and development among QA team members and eagerly engaged in improving company-wide resource management and knowledge management processes. Recognized for his aptitude for effective workforce management, cross-functional collaboration, and process optimization, Andrei was invited to oversee ScienceSoft’s broader resource strategy and take the position of Talent Director in 2025.

As Talent Director, Andrei ensures that ScienceSoft’s workforce maturity and skills precisely match the company’s evolving needs. He supervises talent planning and development across regions and designs cost-effective hiring and training strategies. Andrei’s responsibilities include forecasting long-term staffing needs, managing resource allocation plans, overseeing employee contractual agreements, and monitoring financial metrics related to staffing.

Andrei also leads initiatives aimed at improving technology talent performance. He drives the launch of targeted employee development programs, optimizes staffing models, and refines internal resource utilization processes to reduce inefficiencies.

Acting as a resource strategy consultant, Andrei provides strategic direction and support to ScienceSoft’s resource managers across departments. He helps them optimize hiring initiatives to close skill gaps quicker and align with project demands while ensuring overall feasibility of workforce scaling.
