For example, we used five open-source neural network (NN) models to add call transcription and sentiment analysis capabilities to our client’s help desk software product.
Custom models are worth the effort and investment when high precision and exceptional security are required. They are more common for tasks like medical diagnosis, credit risk assessment, and quality control in manufacturing. When from-scratch development is needed, there can be some other ways to optimize costs. For example, one solution is to retrain existing models or use internal and publicly available data sets.
