Dmitry Kurskov

Having started his IT career in 1994, Dmitry joined ScienceSoft as a system administrator in 1997. From 2004 to 2008, Dmitry has worked as ICT Support Team Lead mentoring the ICT support team. With the management experience he got during these years at ScienceSoft, Dmitry became Head of IT Department in 2008. Later on, considering the importance of cybersecurity in the fast evolving IT world, Dmitry decided to refocus on cybersecurity services ScienceSoft provided and develop this direction. In 2017, he became Cybersecurity Director.

After becoming an IBM Certified Deployment Professional in 2018, Dmitry applied the acquired skills and knowledge to manage the design, implementation, and configuration of SIEM solutions for ScienceSoft’s clients.

Dmitry oversees the design, development, review, and enhancement of security infrastructures, solutions, and policies both for ScienceSoft and ScienceSoft’s clients. He also supervises the provision of managed security services.

Due to his considerable expertise as an architect for security infrastructures, Dmitry became Principal Architect in 2025.

Emerging and evolving threats aren’t the only reason to take a strategic approach to security infrastructure. Any change within the IT environment — e.g., due to digital transformation, cloud adoption, changing business needs — can introduce vulnerabilities. A future-ready security architecture must adapt easily to increasing network complexity, the growing number of connected endpoints, and new software.
