Dmitry Nikolaenya

Dmitry joined ScienceSoft’s team in 2006 to design and build SIEM solutions. During his 19 years at ScienceSoft, he participated in over 120 projects for organizations across the USA, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Japan, including those from the top 20 of Fortune 500 companies. During his employment at ScienceSoft, he designed secure IT architectures, implemented and customized security solutions (e.g., SIEM/SOAR, IDS/IPS, EDR/XDR, DLP), led ScienceSoft's SIEM department, provided cybersecurity consulting services, and contributed to the development of IBM’s first-generation SIEM solution (IBM TSIEM). He also contributed to optimizing ScienceSoft’s SDLC by applying his AI expertise to the design and prototyping of company-wide automated agentic pipelines.

After becoming Head of ScienceSoft’s SIEM Department in 2013, Dmitry oversaw the provision of professional SIEM services to ScienceSoft’s clients and contributed to developing QLEAN — ScienceSoft’s proprietary security tool devised to perform the tuning and health check of IBM Security QRadar SIEM. In one of his prominent projects, Dmitry led the implementation of an advanced IBM QRadar SIEM solution for one of the world’s largest car manufacturers. He enhanced it with a custom disaster recovery synchronization tool, upgraded incident reporting capabilities, and UI extensions.

In 2025, Dmitry became Principal Architect. He analyzed business requirements and designed custom SIEM/SOAR solutions to enhance security monitoring, event correlation, and incident response. Dmitry advised ScienceSoft’s clients on product architecture, led the implementation and customization of SIEM platforms, and contributed to the development of advanced cybersecurity tools and integrations. As an expert who, during his career, was invited to help create two IBM QRadar certification exams (C2150-195 and C2150-214), Dmitry used to share his expertise by conducting technical workshops for ScienceSoft’s employees and clients. He also contributed to the company’s blog and conducted research in the field of information security. For instance, in one of his articles, he carried out a fact-based assessment of QLEAN’s benefits.
