Vadim Belski

Vadim joined ScienceSoft in 2007 as a web engineer. Over the years, he has gone through the roles of a web development consultant, a solution architect, a team lead, a project manager, and a delivery manager. Vadim has participated in ScienceSoft’s major web development projects for ecommerce, finance, healthcare, telecoms, education, and entertainment. He led the development of an instant messaging and VoIP app with over 1 billion active users, a multi-brand ecommerce webstore with a product catalog exceeding 100,000 SKUs, and an interactive language learning portal for users in 175+ countries.

After being promoted to Head of Web Development in 2014, Vadim tripled the team’s scale, broadened its tech stack (Python, Golang, Angular.js/React.js, cloud, IoT), and embedded mature Agile, DevOps, and quality management practices in web projects. He nurtured successful partnerships with Amazon, Adobe Commerce, Pimcore, Akeneo, Zebra Technologies, and Fireblocks.

In early 2025, Vadim took the position of Principal Architect. In this role, he helps ScienceSoft’s clients design complex, large-scale enterprise architectures that ensure scalability, adaptability, security, and regulatory compliance. Vadim mentors ScienceSoft’s architects and engineers, drives the adoption of new architectural paradigms, and works on continuously improving our proprietary architecting best practices. In particular, he initiated and led the company-wide implementation of modern architectural practice (TOGAF, C4, and ArchiMate architecting standards). Among the solutions architected and engineered with Vadim’s deep involvement are a blockchain-based wine supply chain platform, a digital signage app powered by AR and AI, and a gamified NFT trading platform. He holds AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF EA, BTA Blockchain Solution Architect, and AI engineering certifications from AWS and Microsoft.

In August 2025, Vadim was promoted to Head of AI to lead ScienceSoft’s artificial intelligence strategy and execution, with a special focus on responsible AI implementation in the financial and healthcare sectors. In this role, Vadim defines ScienceSoft’s AI vision, aligns technology initiatives with business outcomes, and establishes governance to ensure ethical, secure, and compliant AI adoption. He participates in priority projects as an AI consultant and architect, meets with clients to turn their AI visions into workable solutions, and manages cross-functional AI/ML teams from research to production.

Knowing the value of knowledge sharing and mentorship in AI engineering, Vadim is the main driving force behind ScienceSoft AI Club (a curated internal ecosystem of AI tools and IDEs for testing, programming, and collaboration). He also leads our AI Engineering Deep Dive lab, where engineers master building production-ready AI agents on AWS. In parallel, Vadim contributes expert insights to ScienceSoft’s ongoing Healthcare AI Trend Feed.

Among Vadim’s recent successes is a HIPAA-compliant Healthcare AI Voice Scheduler, featuring the first integration of Amazon Nova Sonic speech-to-speech model with the LiveKit Media Server. The agent became a semi-finalist in the Amazon Nova Partner Demo Competition, a GenAI challenge for AWS Partners.

What advice would I give to a company building its first AI system in 2025? Prioritize security from day one. For enterprise AI, particularly in regulated sectors such as healthcare, risks associated with unsecured data access are real. Systems can inadvertently expose protected data due to a lack of proper threat modeling. Use OWASP LLM Top 10 as a baseline, implement guardrails, and treat integration points as critical threat surfaces.
